How to lower ping in games

Players are all desire to find a solution to almost lagless gameplay. Having a ping of 38ms means that your actions are 38 milliseconds late. However, the average human reaction time is around 150ms, so having a ping around this value is like having a 0 ping. The ping between 100 and 180 is pretty decent for online gaming. But it is always better to try to lower game ping if you can. In my previous article, I recommended use a VPN to reduce ping in a game. Below are a series of other solutions to follow.

1. Make sure no other programs are running in the background. That means close open programs, exit programs on the system tray that you do not need, not close every process on task manager.
2. Upload is more important than Download. So, when it comes to online gaming always choose an internet plan with a better upload speed.
3. Get your phone and other devices off the wifi. Other devices are stealing the bandwidth meant for your gaming, even if they are doing nothing.
4. Find and change to the best DNS server for you, to speed up overall internet access. Public DNS are usually helpful.
5. Clean the inside of your computer.
6. Install a 3rd party network mointoring service. The program will run in the background and give your game full priority of bandwidth over other programs.
7. Download a gamebooster, which temporarily stops process and services that are not need.
8. Use an Ethernet cord instead of wifi, that makes your connection much more reliable and faster. Use a new form of wifi standard for a more reliable wifi connection.
9. Restart the modem or router. Just unplug it, keep it that way for 5+ seconds, then plug it back in.
10. Power off the network for several minutes before start of the play if it gets heated.
11. Optimize Internet connection with SG TCP Optimizer. It is a free program for Windows. The tool uses advanced algorithms to find the best TCP Window for your specific connection speed.
12. Add your game to your firewall's "Allowed" list. This will reduce the time that it takes for game-related information to leave and enter your network.
13. Disable unnecessary drivers and windows services.
14. Turn off your antivirus's updater off.
15. Play on local or nearer servers. The closer you are physically to the server, the lower ping you will get.

If you're having problems with lag in online games - other players appearing, disappearing and jumping around - it could be that your ping is too high. Lag, latency and dropped packets can result in a terrible gaming experience if you are playing multiplayer game. Ping doesn't just affect games, but a large ping time is very noticeable when timing is crucial. Every second counted in games, lag can kill your character as any quick-reflexed opponent. Not only enable players unblock the regional restrictions games, a VPN can also reduce lags in games. A VPN gives players a stable connection when gaming online. A high quality game VPN allows you to connect to distant servers without compromising on the speed. There are a lot of factors that could be increasing your ping, but one important factor is the distance between you and the server you are connecting to. With VPN service you will create yourself a tunnel where you can play limitless private games on a simulated local area networks.
