Star Wars: Battlefront - Battle of Jakku is coming next week

Star Wars: Battlefront launched on November 17 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The first free DLC for Star Wars: Battlefront gets its first glimpse on December 1st for players who pre-order it. All players will get access to the free game on December 8th, 2015. Star Wars: Battlefront - Battle of Jakku is developed by DICE and published by EA.

Star Wars: Battlefront's latest free DLC foreshadows the events of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Prepare to experience the Battle of Jakku, the pivotal moment when the New Republic confronted key Imperial holdouts on a remote desert planet. The Battle of Jakku DLC is the first major video game glimpse of Star Wars. It brings 20 vs. 20 control point mode Turning Point to the game. Many of the film's characters are shown in the trailer. As debris from battles above shower the desert ground, the feeling of chaos is intensifying.

Key Features
  • 2 new maps set on the all-new planet of Jakku
  • New Turning Point game mode
  • Star Wars: Battlefront full game required

This is the first round of free DLC coming to Star Wars: Battlefront, but won't be the last. Even more DLC is coming to Battlefront in 2016 when the first of the game's four paid expansion packs is slated to arrive. In addition to paid content, EA will offer up new maps and modes for free to all players.

Everyone on December 8th can play the game on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 or Windows PC. To play the game the first time when it available next week, change your IP to a New Zealand IP.
